THE HISTORY of kent
Welcome to the Kent Past Project
Kent Past is a site like no other it is where the county's history comes alive by demonstrating how the development of local communities often resulted from the events at regional and national levels. The history of Kent is told with a relevance to today and expresses an understanding of how the world, in which we live, has evolved.
When complete the Kent Past project will dynamically link the historic changes that took place within the County’s towns and villages to articles describing the events that were the cause of those changes and happened elsewhere, and at an earlier time.
The ‘What On Kent’ pages contain information about activity across the county and include guided walks, archaeological digs and historical talks, or ride a steam train or catch the vintage bus to Dover. Whatever you like to do, we have something of interest that is connected to Kent's local history.
You may like to visit my blog, which I have recently started, although a lack of time has prevented me from being an avid blogger, however, as the pressures reduces I hope to increases my output.
The work on this site is primarily mine and, therefore, can offer no excuses for any inaccuracies, although if you do spot errors, please use the section at the bottom of each page to inform me.
