Singlewell means a well belonging to a person. They filled the well in during World
War one.
The council built Hever Court Road - originally Watling Street - and the
nearby estate in 1957. The medieval family built Hever Court as a home in 1331. Eventually
it became derelict, and a demolition team moved in around 1952.
